Privacy policy

The short version

Goofer Games has no accounts and keeps your game progress on your device. Google Analytics stays off unless you explicitly accept analytics. You can reject it or change your choice later using the Analytics settings button. Some of our apps may also be supported by third-party advertising as described below.

What we collect

Our games run on your device. Your game progress, statistics, coins, and settings are stored only in your device's local storage and are not sent to Google Analytics. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics receives limited visit information such as the page viewed, browser/device information and an approximate location derived from the IP address. We do not send names, email addresses, telephone numbers, account identifiers or user_id values.

Analytics choices

Before any Google measurement command, Google Consent Mode defaults are set to denied. The Google Analytics library is not loaded and no GA4 page view is sent unless you choose Accept analytics. Rejecting keeps analytics off. You can later withdraw or change consent through the always-available Analytics settings control; withdrawal also removes GA cookies accessible to the site.

Accounts and sign-in

None required. You do not create an account or provide any details to play.

Advertising

To keep the site free, we display advertising, including via Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising via Google Ads Settings and learn more at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Where required (e.g. the EEA, UK and Switzerland), we present a consent choice before non-essential cookies are set.

Some Goofer Games apps are also supported by third-party advertising, such as Google AdMob. In those apps, the advertising provider may collect limited information — such as your device's advertising identifier, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and how you interact with ads — to serve and measure ads.

On iOS, you will be asked for permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any tracking identifier is used, and you can decline. Where a game is aimed at a general or younger audience, we configure ads to be family-appropriate and non-personalised where required.

Advertising behavior depends on the installed app and version. An ad-free entitlement disables ad requests; it does not necessarily remove the advertising SDK from the installed package. For details about how an advertising provider handles data, see Google's privacy policy.

Math, Chess and Filmometry iOS updates

This section covers Math From Counting to Calculus 1.2.0, Chess 1.1.0 and Filmometry 1.1. Earlier installed versions may have different payment and advertising features. These updates make core features available free, with advertising for eligible adult users and an optional one-time Remove Ads purchase. Filmometry no longer requires a new subscription. Existing valid Filmometry subscriptions retain ad-free access for their remaining entitlement period; purchasing Remove Ads does not cancel an existing subscription.

A neutral age-group choice is stored on your device and can be changed in Settings. Users who select an age under 18 or leave their age unspecified receive no ads. This is a self-declared choice, not identity or age verification. No date of birth or identity document is requested. Game progress and Filmometry calculator inputs remain on your device and are not attached to advertising requests.

For eligible adult users without an ad-free entitlement, Google AdMob and its User Messaging Platform may process IP addresses and approximate location, device or app identifiers, product interactions, advertising data, crash reports, performance data and other diagnostics. These support advertising delivery and measurement, consent handling, service analytics and fraud prevention. These three updates request non-personalized ads and do not request Apple tracking permission. Non-personalized advertising still involves data processing; it does not mean that no data is collected.

Required privacy messages are shown before ads can load. Available consent and privacy options can be revisited in Settings. If eligibility or required consent cannot be established, core app features remain available without requesting ads. Website analytics choices are separate from in-app advertising choices.

Apple processes purchases and payments. The app uses Apple-verified transaction and entitlement information to enable and restore ad-free access; we do not receive your payment-card details. Verified historical Math paid purchases remain ad-free. Use Restore Purchases with the same Apple Account. Local app data can be removed by deleting the app, subject to iOS backup behavior; this does not erase Apple's purchase records or data retained by advertising providers.

Third parties

If you accept analytics, Goofer Games uses Google Analytics 4 to measure visits and improve the website. Cloudflare Web Analytics also provides privacy-focused aggregate website measurements. Advertising providers may process data in ad-supported experiences as described above.

Children

Our games are family-friendly. Advertising providers may process the data described above in ad-supported releases. The Math, Chess and Filmometry updates described here do not request ads for users who choose an age under 18 or leave their age unspecified. Other apps have their own version-specific advertising behavior; this update does not change Solitaire or Numbers.

Changes to this policy

If a future version introduces a feature that involves data collection, we will update this policy before release and explain what is collected and why.
